The Two Who Lit the Fire

Two men, one road, and the brotherhood that became a Guild.

BEGINING IN 2018

Jason McCombs and Jeff Deehan rode the Monkey Run across Peru together: a thousand kilometers of bad roads, worse weather, and small machines never built for the task. They came from different worlds and disagreed about plenty. By the end, none of that mattered. Hardship has a way of stripping a thing down to what it actually is, and what was left between them was simple. Trust. Two men who had learned to rely on each other completely. They came home brothers.

What they noticed back home was an absence. Men today have nowhere consistent to do what the two of them had just done: to gather, to be tested, to speak openly and honestly in a room where the trust is already high. Masculinity itself had become an argument, a thing to be debated and litigated rather than simply practiced well. So they built the room themselves.

The Adventureman's Guild is that room. A place for men to come from anywhere, learn hard skills, take on real adventure, and become better, side by side. Different backgrounds, different views, one brotherhood. That is the whole idea, and it started on a minibike in the mountains of Peru.

“Come from anywhere. Disagree about everything. Trust each other completely. That is how you make a brother, and that is how we built a Guild.”
