Join your fellow guild members at the state-run primitive campground, Gleason's landing on the Pere Marquette River for a weekend of Camping, Hunting, and Fishing.
Open to guild members only. This event takes place during both turkey and trout season. Those who wish to apply for hunting and/or fishing licenses will be free to experience both. You do not have to hunt or fish to participate but it is highly encouraged.

Gleason's landing sites are nestled along a curve of the river. You can drive to the parking area, but must then carry gear to a campsite (no vehicle access to actual sites). Sites are level, fire rings with grates, picnic tables, and lantern stand.
Sites-G2, F3, & F4
Restrooms- two latrines, accessible over grass
Potable Water- hand pump in summer
Although we will not be teaching our fly fishing or Lockpicking merit badges as an event, materials will be made available for any who wish to self-learn or teach one another. We will test and certify anyone ready to earn their merit badge(s) in Fly Fishing or Lockpicking
Although the North Country Trail is just on the other side of the river, up an old road spur from the water's edge, you cannot access it unless you cross the river somehow. However, if you had a boat at the site, you could cross and tie up on the opposite bank for a day. It's easy to find the old benched trail up the bluff, and the North Country Trail is right at the top of the hill.
All participants must provide or make arrangements for your own hunting and/or fishing gear.
