FORGE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE:

Every day you may be told where to go and what to do when it comes to entertainment, work, and maybe even your home life. No sense of adventure and no sense of danger.

Well, let's just say that's not the case here. You will very much be in danger and have to fend for yourself.

At the starting line, we will give you some of what we're going to call “training”? But hopefully enough knowledge to where you will understand how to ride and hopefully maintain your newfound mode of transportation.

We will provide you with a loose map of the area with very little direction and suggestions. Your only task is to complete the loop of locations using whatever roads or interconnected trails you choose to traverse ending back at the starting location within 7 days.

If you choose to conquer it solo or if you choose to put together a group of friends it will be up to you as to where and when you want to start and stop. Eat lunch or get gas. Camp or find the next town to sleep in. Or whether or not you should wipe your ass with that leaf. You'll not have a guide with you telling you what to do or where to go. You are not going to have a mechanic, a medic, or a shoulder to cry on unless you bring it with you.

RIDER REQUIREMENTS:

The Adventureman's Guild will not be responsible for any legal requirements needed for operating a motorcycle on US roadways or off-road trail systems imposed on you by your home country, state, or the state of Montana and Idaho. It is in your best interest to make sure you are in compliance with any laws that apply. With that, we are giving participants the following recommendations.

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older

  • Participants must be active Guild Members

  • Participants must have a valid driver's license and motorcycle endorsement.

  • Participants are encouraged to have proper insurance and register/plate their motorcycles in accordance with their home state's laws and in compliance with the states of Montana and Idaho.

  • Participants are encouraged to have any necessary off-road permits required by the states of Montana and Idaho.

  • Participants are encouraged to provide and wear a DOT-approved helmet.

MONKEY BIKE REQUIREMENTS:

Participants are required to operate motorbikes that do not exceed the capability, reliability, and manufacturing quality of our inferior and substandard Monkey Bikes.

If you have already participated in the Great American monkey 1000 then you're in luck. You know all too well what to expect from your steed.

Official TAG 1000 monkey bikes are available for you to obtain your own terrible mode of transportation from us for an additional fee or we can help you locate an approved bike for purchase after signing up.

All motorbikes must meet the following specifications:

  • Must be either a Chinese clone or a vintage original

  • CT70 Dax or Z50 Monkey/Gorilla body styles only

  • Engines may not exceed 125 cc

  • Engines must be carbureted

Bottom line no brand new designed pit bikes or fresh off the assembly line Honda monkey bikes with fuel injection and ABS brakes. You're better than that!

CANCELLATION POLICY:

No refunds will be provided for any reason for unused portion of an event, tour, or training once the event, tour, or training begins, including if you leave an event, tour, or training for any reason or have to be removed from an event, tour, or training. ? The event, tour, or training price is a package cost and refunds and credits are not available for services not used. There are no exceptions to this cancellation and refund policy, including for reasons related to weather, terrorism, civil strife, governmental, personal, family or medical emergencies or any other circumstances beyond our control. For this and other reasons, we encourage you to purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance and travel protection (i.e., travel medical insurance and emergency evacuation services). There will be no refunds for tardiness. If you show up late and miss part of your event, tour, or training we will help you in a reasonable way so you might receive the services booked for the remaining duration. The Adventureman's Guild strongly recommends that you take out adequate trip cancellation insurance. The Adventureman's Guild is not responsible for expenses incurred by participants in preparing for an event, tour, or training (eg. nonrefundable advance purchase air tickets, equipment, etc.) or for any additional arrangements pre- or post-departure date. The term applies whether the tour is altered, modified, or canceled by us or by you for any reason. Because the event, tour, or training may be canceled when a minimum number of participants have not signed up, we recommend that you either purchase refundable air tickets or wait until we have confirmed with you prior to the event, tour, or training that we have a sufficient number of participants.

We strongly recommend that you purchase adequate travel insurance including Medical, Evacuation, and Repatriation coverage and that you extend your coverage to include Trip Cancellation. Be sure your travel insurance covers you for exactly what you are doing and exactly where you are going.
