About the Event

Lifecasting is the process of creating a three-dimensional copy of a living human body, through the use of molding and casting techniques. The most common lifecasts are of torsoes, pregnant bellies, hands, and faces. Compared with other three-dimensional representations of humans, the standout feature of lifecasts is their high level of realism and detail. Lifecasts can replicate details as small as fingerprints and pores.

A likeness of your glorious visage will be taken using an algae-based compound, and from this casting, you will be able to take home a stone version of yourself.  This Workshop will take place over several hours and all material needs will be provided for the activity.

Learn how to take a life casting of a face Suitable for any skill level, even complete beginners, the first half of the workshop focuses on taking a life cast of the face and neck using alginate and plaster bandages. The remainder of the day is spent turning that casting into a stone positive.

This even is a coed event and open to non-guild members.

Cancelation policy

No refunds will be provided for any reason for unused portion of an event, tour, or training once the event, tour, or training begins, including if you leave an event, tour, or training for any reason or have to be removed from an event, tour, or training. The event, tour, or training price is a package cost and refunds and credits are not available for services not used.

There are no exceptions to this cancellation and refund policy, including for reasons related to weather, terrorism, civil strife, governmental, personal, family or medical emergencies or any other circumstances beyond our control. For this and other reasons, we encourage you to purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance and travel protection (i.e., travel medical insurance and emergency evacuation services).

There will be no refunds for tardiness. If you show up late and miss part of your event, tour, or training we will help you in a reasonable way so you might receive the services booked for the remaining duration. The Adventureman's Guild strongly recommends that you take out adequate trip cancellation insurance.

The Adventureman's Guild is not responsible for expenses incurred by participants in preparing for an event, tour, or training (eg. nonrefundable advance purchase air tickets, equipment, etc.) or for any additional arrangements pre- or post-departure date. The term applies whether the tour is altered, modified, or canceled by us or by you for any reason. Because the event, tour, or training may be canceled when a minimum number of participants have not signed up, we recommend that you either purchase refundable air tickets or wait until we have confirmed with you prior to the event, tour, or training that we have a sufficient number of participants.

Covid policy

The Adventureman's Guild assumes that any members booking after November 1st, 2020 are aware of the ongoing situation with COVID-19. By booking with The Adventureman's Guild, you acknowledge that there is an inherent financial risk to yourself and to The Adventureman's Guild when making plans during an uncertain time and accept your part of this risk as we do ours.

All guides and participants are expected to test negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of their arrival to the event, tour, or training start location. A timestamp by the test administrator will be required for proof. Those unwilling to comply will not be allowed to participate in the event, tour, or training and our Cancellation and Refund Policy will be applied. Most test administrators are offering free testing or are covered by your medical insurance.

All participants should bring a supply of face masks or coverings with them sufficient to last the duration of the event, tour, or training. The Adventureman's Guild will not maintain a stock of face masks or cloth facial coverings. Used masks should be replaced with new or laundered coverings each day to maintain effective coverage. We request that our participants respect social distancing and proper mask usage covering the nose and mouth throughout your journey.

We ask that participants take care of themselves throughout the event, tour, or training, and monitor their own health. If at any point during the event, tour, or training you feel yourself becoming ill or showing symptoms of illness, we request that you let your guides know as soon as possible so that we may better help you attend to your condition as the situation develops. Please familiarize yourself with the onset symptoms of COVID-19 as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

As always, we recommend that you invest in travel insurance (trip cancellation and/or trip delay coverage). There are policies currently available that cover pandemic-related situations and many credit cards have travel coverages automatically included. We suggest you contact your credit card provider, your travel agent, and/or a travel insurance website for more details.

To travel you may be required to obtain an immunity certificate or some other kind of documentation to prove that you are not actively infected with COVID-19. There will be no refunds if you are unable to travel because you do not have the correct documents relating to COVID-19.

You may be expected to quarantine for a period of time on arrival in the event destination country. You may also be expected to do the same in your country of residence when returning from your trip. You may need to take this into consideration when planning your schedule to take part in the event. We will not issue a refund with the understanding that this, amongst other travel regulations, is a possibility, and later decide you do not wish to comply with these regulations and want to withdraw.
